Let’s talk about Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective

Oh Ghost Trick, you’re a very amazing game.. Created by Shu Takumi of Phoenix Wright Fame has done it again I must say. You play as Sissel a recently deceased spirit who finds out he has “the power of the dead” which allows him to manipulate objects and go 4 minutes before a persons death to alter their fate.
I can’t really say much more because it’s all a mystery from the start of the game which is what makes this game so entertaining, not only that but it has the same humor the Ace Attorney series does which is probably the best thing about it. Funny, captivating, and great story telling there is no reason why you shouldn’t own this game if you have a DS.
I also beat Super Mario 3D Land, I’ll talk about that another day though!

This game, is the most important game in our day and age. It has one of the most compelling stories and like EarthBound makes you feel like you are actually a part of this world. I remember the first time I saw the trailer to this game, I lived in Chula Vista California on E Donahoe and pretended I was Cloud Strife everyday while playing by our pool everyday. Then when I first played it my dad took me to Update Video for dollar Tuesdays where everything in the store you could rent for a dollar, I rented Jumping Flash 2 and Final Fantasy VII, I sucked at FFVII at the time but had my dad buy it for me at Warehouse Music anyway. I played this game for a very long time, from the 6th grade until the end of high school actually. Up until 2008 I had a memory card with several different save files for this game all at different places but most at the end with everything accomplished. I don’t think I’ve been so emotionally attached to a game like I have been with this one, as good as EarthBound is, it def didn’t make you cry like FFVII, but I won’t get into that since I have a friend playing it for his first time at the moment.

I know you’re most definitely sick of seeing this game on my blog, but how could you happen to not talk about this all the time when no one played it and you have and it’s amazing. The fact is this game never did well, it did so bad and has so many issues it will never make it to Wii’s Virtual Console. It’s one of the most amazing games I’ve ever played, unfortunately though it is not my absolute favorite memory from a game. I loved this game from the moment I saw it, everything about it made me want it, the big box, the artwork, the fact that you got a strategy guide as a booklet. It was all amazing and I’ll forever be changed after playing it.

I can’t get over this game… I have yet to play Marvel vs. Capcom 3 but as far as I can see without playing MvC3 I feel like MvC2 is still a better game, it may not actually be but everything about it was perfect. It was the greatest game to have been released for the Dreamcast. It also single handedly resurrected the Arcade, next to DDR I guess.

The first time I played this game my friend Brandon had us over to play it after school, we all ended up staying the night. I always loved Ness but so did Brandon, so we’d both fight between him. I always beat him out so he’d switch over to Kirby.

I just started playing this game again, I can’t help but do so. It’s probably the greatest game to be released for the SNES (next to another one of my favorite SNES games). The first time I played this game I was kind of scared. I don’t really know why now but it creeped me out, I guess just the eerie feeling of it all.

This game was my childhood. There was no game that made my Gameboy feel more useful than this one. I also loved Red Version but Blue was just my favorite, I loved Blastoise I still love playing these games it’s been so long since the first two and it’s just the most entertaining game you could get into. I remember when I first stopped playing these games was when Silver and Gold came out, then I started back up when Fire Red and Leaf Green were released. I don’t think I’ll ever stop playing Pokemon again.

I just recently replayed this game, I can always count on this one being entertaining to me I remember when I was a kid I’d play it all the time but played on my dad’s file so I would already be done with the game and just get to play. I can’t help but love this game so much I don’t think anyone could.

God, the first time I played this game I was hooked, it also got my dad and all my friends. None of us would play any other game, it was always who was the best at Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater. I think if I played this game today I’d love it just as much.

I remember playing this game all the time at my neighbor Duke’s house all the time, I always played as Nightcrawler and we’d always play after watching X-Men on Fox. We would always get to the same place where you’re supposed to turn off your Genesis and it’ll allow you to continue to the next stage, we never knew that. It’s a little silly to do something like that in the day and age before the internet SEGA! How would we have known? We never did, it wasn’t until I got older that I knew what to actually do.
