Let’s talk about Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective

Oh Ghost Trick, you’re a very amazing game.. Created by Shu Takumi of Phoenix Wright Fame has done it again I must say. You play as Sissel a recently deceased spirit who finds out he has “the power of the dead” which allows him to manipulate objects and go 4 minutes before a persons death to alter their fate.
I can’t really say much more because it’s all a mystery from the start of the game which is what makes this game so entertaining, not only that but it has the same humor the Ace Attorney series does which is probably the best thing about it. Funny, captivating, and great story telling there is no reason why you shouldn’t own this game if you have a DS.
I also beat Super Mario 3D Land, I’ll talk about that another day though!
My Thought on E3 (So Far)
Microsoft Presentation
I actually didn’t catch it, but what I’ve seen has been pretty weak end on that.
Nintendo Presentation
Obviously, I’m a Nintendo whore, I whore Nintendo so much. I was excited about all the games they showed most of all I think would have to be Epic Mickey, it envolves my two favorite things, Nintendo and Mickey! Of course the return of Kirby in Kirby’s Epic Yarn, Donkey Kong in Donkey Kong Country Returns, and Kid Icarus are awesome, but the show stopper was most definitely The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Swords. I’m also looking forward to GoldenEye and Metroid: Other M. Last thing I’ll discuss about this is obviously the Nintendo 3DS I’m not too sure how to feel about it yet seeing how Nintendo did make the biggest 3D fail of all time (next to Jaws 3D, respectively) so it’s kind of hard for me to just get on board with it but we’ll have to wait and see how it goes.
3D has been big for this years E3 and I will end my thoughts and opinions about it all with…
Sony Presentation
This has literally only been a big slam at Nintendo, I feel like Sony does this every year but they don’t realize, Nintendo isn’t even in the same realm of gaming as they are Nintendo is like the expensive restaurant you go to and you may get a good meal, you may not. Sony is the fast food we all know and love, it’s good, most of it is really good, but sometimes there’s too much on how it looks rather than how it makes you feel. Out of that what I’m trying to say is the games look great, but most the time that is kind of it. They all look really good, well made but then you play them and there’s so many errors and so many flaws within it, what is the point? Is it gaming and actual great gameplay or is it graphics and looking really nice? You can never tell with this console, it just doesn’t have the same heart and excitement that Nintendo does. Sometimes it seems like most of the employees don’t even know much about gaming, “Ghost of War: Ghost of Sparta”? Sure it may have been an error in words but how would you do that other than either being extremely nervous or just not knowledgeable about the game, to call PSP the “Best handheld for serious gamers” are you kidding? it doesn’t even beat out an iPhone, the PSP has and will always be a joke of a handheld. Also last thing seeing how it’s still going and hasn’t gotten too into games I’ve got these last things to say:
Sorcery? better have Nic Cage in it, also just looks like Harry Potter and your gameplay looks exactly like you’re playing a Wii game
Point: Nintendo
Heroes on the Move: Really? haha LAME!
Point: Nintendo
Portal 2: Portal is just great, no problems there
Point: Sony
Little Big Planet 2: Again pleased, except, couldn’t you just keep LBP and make an update for all this?
Point: Nintendo
